Fetish, Fetish Everywhere
There’s a sympathetic article about fetish in general and FetishCon in particular over on MSNBC. (Thanks, Redhead, for sending the link.) Mostly it’s case studies: the reporter is wandering around the convention suite looking at people’s costumes and talking to whoever will talk to him.
Plenty of people there are into stuff that I’m not into, but spankos are also represented:

Uh-huh. Sound familiar to anybody?

The only thing I’m not sure about is, who lets a journalist into a fetish gathering? Is that the standard thing to do now, to let a reporter into your party?

Dreaming of Detention
In my dream I had to learn three pages of French verbs, and to recite them without hesitation to a stern teacher, who looked very annoyed with me. This was a punishment: extra homework for being rude to him in a lesson.
Whenever I slipped up, he made me to start over. I was crying, and stumbling over words. When I finally finished, he took me by the chin and asked: “Any more cheek, Miss?” I sniffled and shook my head. The question still echoed in my head when I woke up.

Ask Razor Ryan a Question

Mysterious Haze
A friend sent me a clipping from yesterday’s “Metro” newspaper, which says:
A holiday flight to Cyprus was forced to make an emergency landing after reports of a mysterious haze in the cabin.
I promise, this has nothing, but nothing to do with me. I’m not as mysterious as all that.
Taking Care of a Spanked Bottom
Readers’ questions time again.
“What do you do after a shoot when your backside is very sore? You know, so that it’s not as sore.”
The thing about kinky girls is that we like it when our backsides are sore. Imagine that. :) Seriously, I cherish the soreness; it reminds me of the work I’d done and the trials I’ve been through; I don’t generally want it to go away. It does anyway, and pretty quickly.
Even so, it’s important to take care of my bottom: it may not get easily bruised, but spanked skin becomes dry and liable to be easily broken. Broken skin means no work and no play, so keeping my bottom in a good working condition is part of the job. It involves lots and lots and LOTS of moisturiser. When I’m on set, I put lotion on pretty much after every scene, so that my skin stays supple.
Pain is an issue if I have to shoot two days in a row, because as much as I like that freshly spanked feeling, I need to be able to take as much the next day. I’m still experimenting, but arnica gel to reduce the bruising and an ice-pack to bring the swelling to a minimum seem to do the job for now.
I really enjoy putting moisturiser on my fellow models’ bottoms after a shoot; there’s nothing like a little bit of sexual harrassment in the workplace. :)
The Good Girl of St. Trinian’s
Abel of The Spanking Writers has had an idea to apply for a job in the new St. Trinian’s film.

“Spanking Devils” from the other day made me want to sit down and write a list of spanking movies with a supernatural element in them.
Sci-fi, fantasy and fairy-tale spanking videos are not very common, perhaps for the same reason that paranormal erotica is not very common: even an ordinary spanking scenario is rather far-fetched. It requires strong suspension of disbelief, and an explanation to the viewer as to why the situation described is even vaguely realistic. Any more explanations and exposition on top of that to set up the paranormal element – and the viewers start to get frustrated, demanding that you get to the point: bare the bottoms and start to smack them.
That said, I’ve managed to recall a few full-length videos and short movies for sci-fi & fantasy geeks like me.

(Though bear in mind that I’ve deliberately left out the “dream sequence” videos, because plotting there doesn’t, strictly speaking, have anything to do with the fantastic: just as in other genres, it serves to explain away some of the general unplausibility of the scenarios.)
When I started to compile this list, I hadn’t set out to make any conclusions, but it looks like people who make paranormal spanking videos can be said to have either or both of the following mindsets:
- A good story-line is very important to us; we’ll shoot a drawn-out exposition if we want to. Deal with it. Or fast-forward to the spanking. (Lupus Pictures, Spanking Epics).
- An original, quirky video and the sense of fun is worth the occasional overdose of campness. Where’s your sense of humour, anyway? (Northern Spanking, Punished Brats, CP Entertainment)
Oh yes, and don’t forget the best mindset of them all – even though I don’t know whether it applies to any of these esteemed companies:
