Spanking Geeks

The guys who filmed this spoof advert think they’re joking, but they’ve struck a chord with me.

But let me tell you, it’s not easy to be a kinky geek. I’m not even a guy, which makes things marginally easier when you’re looking for fantasy-fulfilling action, but I just don’t get my geeky needs met in the spanking world.

Who will play the master magician to my apprentice? Who will dress as Mal Reynolds for me? Who is capable of discussing the spanking potential in the existing four volumes of “The Song of Ice and Fire” saga while making educated predictions for the rest?

If there was a Nerd Girl phone sex line, I’d probably be working on it just to get my own needs met.

International Blogger Appreciation Day

Although I’m loathe to participate in flash-mob events, I got inspired this morning by a post on Darren Rowse’s Problogger.

The idea is simple: if you enjoy reading a blog, write to its author and tell her so. It’s a good thing to do on any day, because positive feedback makes the blogging worthwhile, but it can’t hurt to have an extra push.

I’m not soliciting correspondence here, by the way. On the contrary: I encourage you to say something nice to a blogger who is not me. Go on, it’ll make you feel good.

If you’re a blogger yourself, you may even do it in a post.

On my part, I’d like to give a shout-out to Lina of Uncool, who has started the ball rolling on the Feminist Carnival of Sexual Freedom and Autonomy, and therefore rocks.

Amelia-Jane Rutherford’s Blog is Live

Amelia-Jane Rutherford, international woman of mystery, has finally heard the voice of reason and started a blog. (Co-written with her alter-ego, Ariel Anderssen, because having several names is a kink in its own right.)

Her modelling experience is vast, and she’s one of the most articulate women I know, so I’m sure she’ll have interesting stories to tell.

Holding on to the girlfriend

This video, “I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend” by Black Kids, doesn’t have a lot of sexy/fetishy things concentrating in it, but I thought it had enough there that it belonged on the blog.

For one thing, even though it’s sung by a guy, and the relationships in the video itself are M/F, it’s an unashamedly queer, F/F song. I like that. There aren’t that many songs in the charts that speak to me like that.

And for another thing… hello, cheerleaders! Cheerleaders in a video are always a good thing.
