I had to receive this paddling on my bare bottom on my knees on the bed. I had to keep my rump stuck out and count the strokes or more was to be added. I survived 163 whacks. It was supposed to be 170 but he took mercy on me when i started bawling and screaming bloody murder and forgetting what number I was supposed to count. I HIGHLY deserved this lesson I must add, because I was warned it would happen if I disobeyed (10 whacks for every minute I was up mast midnight when I was to go to bed....Pity I was caught) My official opinion is that i couldn't sit for 2 days period...I kind of laid down or stood when I could. It was over a week before my blistered ass healed enough to sit down without yelping. To this day I NEVER sneak and stay up because I don't want to repeat that...or my nose in the corner. I am new to rubber and lexan paddle butt tannings...Are they much worse? He is interested in incorporating one or both of these soon. Any advice? My wife specializes in blisterings, and has a collection of ten paddles with holes. Yes they burn!!! The effect on the butt is longer lasting, and after expert application are very sore. You have to start lightly but when you get it going you can be hit VERY hard and it will leave an incredable strangely enjoyable sting. After this sort of lashing my bottom is a bright red, but I must warn anyone using this tool, as fun as it is, they must wait for any bruising or swelling to go down before doing it again, two days in a row is a very bad idea. I have to say for me this type of paddle with holes in it is like heaven for me! Since liquids compress less than air, you will get FAR more of the shearing forces transmitted through you. PLEASE use the paddle VERY LIGHTLY until you are used to it's new "feel" though! Incidentally, no-one ever seems to have been on the end of a paddle that was still unfinished, so the surface is still all rough. Like being hit with the sandpaper side of a ping-pong bat, it abrades the skin too. Who needs expensive exfoliants? This reduces the effect, even though it still stings like a bitch. With holes drilled, the air escapes and the paddle makes full contact. Trust me, I tried it at college and it's true! I got over that paddling a lot quicker than one with a belt! That lasted a couple of days. Wood is a lot better than lexan with holes too! That is a true fire starter!! WoW!
