Caning Al Fresco

Munchkins, I’ve caught a stinkin’ cold. I’m told we girls are supposed to soldier through colds with a brave smile and a shrug, but my attitude to them is decidedly masculine: I lie down and whimper for Mummy.

While I nurse myself back to health, I fear you’ll have to cope with a gallery of other people’s spanking photos. Or dear, how will you be able to stand it?

Yes, chicken noodle soup is a great healer of colds and flus and such.
As is a few ounces (150ml) of bourbon, with 2 teaspoons of brown sugar, the juice from a lemon or a lime – drink that, and sleep until you wake up. You’ll sweat like a family of hogs, but the cold will be gone, and the immune system will once again be on top of things.

And you’ll be craving the strap soon enough!

Thanks, all. :) Treating the cold with raspberry tea hasn’t worked. I think it might be time to hit the vodka. What a hardship.

  5. Jujubees says:

Yes, I find if I drink enough vodka..soon I don’t feel a damn thing!! (until the next morning that is) I hope you feel better soon!

  6. Sorry you’re unwell. Colds are really miserable things – not helped by everyone else (who doesn’t have one at the time) thinking they’re trivial. I think Drambuie is an effective remedy although a little more expensive than LemSip and not available on the National Health.
