It’s Love Our Lurkers Day

There is a day on the spanking blogging calendar that makes it easier for you, the readers, to press that “reply” button and say – well, anything at all, which you might have been too shy to say before.

It’s today – the international delurk day across the blogosphere, coordinated by Bonnie at My Bottom Smarts. (You can see a list of participating blogs over at hers, and discover some new reading material for when you should be working.)

I’m a prodigious lurker myself, and know how hard it can be to step forward for the first time, even with a simple hello. Well, today it’s easy. Everybody is doing it. You know how if everybody jumps off the bridge, you’re supposed to do it too? Er, never mind, maybe I’ve got things mixed up. Anyway, delurking is easy – come forward and say hello!

P.S. I’m trying to spend very little time online this month, but I’ll make a point to come and rescue new commenters out of the moderation queue.

An Internet fast

Munchkins, I need to take it easy for a few weeks. Spending 18 hours a day online isn’t good for anyone, so I’m going to cut down for a while, and see what one of those “real lives” is, that people talk about.

Don’t worry: there’ll be three posts a week coming up on the blog throughout my fast, and there’ll be a fresh picture of the day, each day. But I won’t be hanging around to approve comments, and you probably won’t raise me on email or Twitter.

Let’s see how long I last…

Warming my bottom

Munchkins, I’m on holiday until Friday, 21 August. I was too lazy to queue up enough posts to last while I’m sunning myself on the beach, so I’ll just see you when I return.

You can always read through the archives, and stuff. I’ve been writing for over 3 years; there’re a lot of posts in there.

A (hopefully) brief hiatus

Munchkins, I’ve done something to my back that makes sitting up at a computer quite impossible. I hope to have it fixed soon, but in the meantime I’m not going to be posting much.

I’ll leave you with this nice in-your-face image of Amber’s spanked bottom:

Anyone for F/M?

Munchkins, let me take a quick canvass.

How many of you enjoy F/M spanking and pictures thereof?

One of my resolutions this year was to take better care of my dominant side. In part, this means I’m indulging in more F/M pictures. I’d like to share the ones I like in the same way I share M/F and F/F pics, but I haven’t yet decided whether to start a separate blog for this, or to drop them here.

Ultimately, I’ll do as I please (See? That’s my dominant side, right here.) But I’m interested to hear what you feelings are on the subject.

F/M pics on this blog: yay or nay? And why?

Follow me on Twitter

It’s been decided. I’ve gone and started a Twitter account. You can come and stalk me here:

http://twitter.com/AdeleHaze

I expect, I will mostly use it for the sort of tiny updates that don’t merit a blog entry of their own, but may still be interesting: links to spanking stuff, random life snippets, things like that.

Come and stalk me. OK?

Porn of a different kind

Munchkins, there will be no spanking porn tonight, because your hostess has just got her mitts on a brand-new fresh-smelling Macbook.

Please entertain yourselves while I have sex with my computer.

Thank you.

Why yes, I’ve redecorated

Munchkins, meet my new design. New design, meet my munchkins.

Please let me know if anything’s broken…

A blogging interlude

If you don’t have a Worpress blog, this post will be of no interest for you, other than the last part (where I post a spanking photo to make up for off-topic rambling. Scroll right down if that’s the case.)

If you are a blogger, you may have faced with so-called “RSS scraping”, which is when spammers steal the content from your blog and surround it with their own ads. This is aggravating for two reasons: firstly, the arseholes are making money from your hard work, and secondly, they create duplicate content, which compromises you in the eyes of Google. Not good all around.

The easiest way to deal with the problem is to publish a partial feed on your site, and plenty of big blogs do exactly that. I’ve always been reluctant to go down the partial-feed route, because as a blog reader I don’t like them. So I won’t do unto my readers what I don’t like done unto me.

Anyway, having caught another splogger this evening, I went digging for a solution, and found a nifty Wordpress plugin that will poison the well for any future plagiarists. AntiLeech is supposed to send scrambled content to spammers after they’re identified – so I can still publish my full feed, but if it’s scraped, it becomes illegible. Cool, huh?

I haven’t tested it yet, but it looks pretty sweet. I thought you other WordPress users might want to know about it as well.

And now, a spanking picture to make up for all that geek talk.

Actually, I’m feeling generous; have two:

Oh, what the hell, have three.

Patience, young Jedis…

Your host is having an IT meltdown, so there’ll be no picture post tonight.

One day I’ll go domme and get a nice subby boy or girl to fix my computer for me. Then he or she (or they!) can massage my feet under the table while I type blog posts.

Mmm, I could get lost in a fantasy like that…
