Charity Run Update

So, with flu and stuff, I’ve lost over two weeks of my training for Race For Life. Today I risked a run for the first time since I got ill, and – it figures, right? – the sorest muscles I got afterwards were in my bum.

No matter what sport I go for, I get a sore bottom from it. Bike riding, horse riding, rollerblading, and now running. How unfair.

The largest muscles are usually taxed the most in any physical output.

For muscle pains I do this–

Chop up about 100 to 150 grams of fresh Peppermint leaves (it has to be peppermint other mints are not as good), pour about 1 and a half liters of boiling water on them and leave them to steep while running a hot bath, then put the brew with the leaves into the bath then soak in the bath for at least 15 minutes.

Allways works for me and you end up smelling great.

I feel your pain Sweetie. Twisted my knee on travels and that stopped lunges/pliĆ©s for a while (had to put that one in re: ballet note upthread) Got started again about a month ago and for the first three days my bottom muscles felt like I’d played hard with a certain friend, but without *any* of the lingering enjoyment. Ah, what we do to keep fit. My g/f writes about finding the “good pain” in muscles she’s forgotten. Hope you’re getting fit agan.
