Makes one ashamed to be male on one hand, and on the other pleased as punch that there are men so socially inept trawling the net, that chaps like oneself, outwardly appear to have a degree of intelligence and manners.

It is a form of Darwinian selection if you like. You know from the mail that the most satisfying part of the “relationship” will be the wry smile as you place it in the “trashcan” for deletion later.
