I Know You’re There: Second International Delurk Day

Blogkeeping, Photos, Scenology — By on 12 October, 2007 11:10 pm

You folks are very nice to me: you come to my site and talk to me. However, I know for a fact that there are a lot more people reading than there are those who every post a comment.

Knowing how daunting it can be to leave a comment on a blog for the first time, Bonnie of ‘My Bottom Smarts’ has initiated a Love Our Lurkers day: the day when shy folks people get a chance to come out and say hi.

And yes, it’s today.

Come on out, I know you’re there. Who are you? :)

    Hi Adele!

I first came across your site from the link on the ‘Bums on the Run’ webpage, and I’ve been reading it regularly ever since. Your writing makes it one of the best things on the web.

  2. Linda says:

hi. i’m linda. i read every day, adele. :)

  3. Bill says:

I’m a Canadian. I check this out every two weeks or so.

Why hello there! I used to be pretty well-known back when Usenet ruled (particularly back when alt.sex.spanking was a real newsgroup!-), always posting with my real name (just search for it and you’ll find MANY posts of mine!-). These days I don’t have much time and energy to post about kinky issues — but I’ve recently started using an RSS feed aggregator to follow (among many other issues of interest) today’s spanking scene, and I’m happy to say it’s in many ways better than the “good old days”. Keep up the great job, y’all!

    Alex

Gary, Lurker First Class, reporting as requested. Hi, all the best to you, keep up the great work, and now back to cyberspace …

  6. amy says:

    Hi Adele,

I’m amy and I read every day.

Also, I’m always getting in trouble for spending too much time watching your material. :)

    Love,
    amy

  7. Bob says:

Good evening, Ms. Haze. I’m a full-time blurker, and I check out your site daily. Thank you kindly for all the eye-candy (and the brain-candy as well).

  8. James Bellis says:

Just someone who enjoys the scene, certainly not hiding.

  9. Monkeh says:

Hi. =) I come almost every day to read ya. Thanks for writing so often!

  10. George says:

    Hi Adele,
Thanks for keeping up such a lively blog….I enjoy reading you several times a week. Take care of yourself,

I would like to say that having delurked about six months ago after having lurked for about three months that delurked is better. You can semi-anonymousley contribute to the conversation whether making a valid point or a rightous horses patootie of yourself. Like right now for instance! You don’t really know who I am other than the dreaded Tigerbutt, recently returned from safari. Its not like you have to send in pictures of your stripes (unless you want to). So what are you waiting for? Delurk and join the party!

  12. Ruso says:

Hey there, it’s definitely my first post here, I’ve discovered this site quite recently but it has already captured my attention just like his owner… 8-) wishing you all the best in your hard work and keep on smiling! Stay gold (c)

    Hi Adele,

I visit you frequently but usually by Blackberry so I can’t leave a comment. I love your blog and promise to say hello more often. Enjoyed the Lupus series.

    Hugs.

  14. Bonnie says:

    Hi Adele,

I’m not a lurker, and in truth not even all that shy, but I wanted to stop by and offer my LOL, greetings. I love your blog. You offer a candid and unique insider’s perspective. You tell your readers about your life and work, but you also often share how you feel about it. That’s something special.

I’m delighted that you joined in our delurking festivities. Thank you for all you do!

    Hugs,
    Bonnie

  15. Ellie says:

  17. Another Bob says:

Actually, I think you might have outed me as a lurker last year (someone did), and I’ve been lurking here since , most days, thanks for your cheerfulness, humour and nice bum

  18. Smallhanded says:

Hello from a recently de-lurked poster. I have been enjoying reading your thoughts about the spanking scene and your travels through the ensuing psychological maze.

  19. dave says:

    Hi Adel
    Love your work.
    Dave from Australia.

  20. Paul says:

I also like to read about adult enjoying spanking and a little roll play like being a bad little girl with wet pants. Not much on that

  21. Amy says:

Do I count as a lurker?

    Oh. No. OK then.

I managed to completely forget LOL day, mainly due to it being extremely close to my final exam. I only remembered with about 15 minutes to go of the day and decided that it wasn’t worth trying to rush a crappy “Yeah, so… comment if you read my blog!” type post as I would have wanted to at least try and put some effort into it.

    So I missed it.

    Do I get spanked now?
    x

  22. Amber says:

    Hi Adele,

I don’t comment as much as I used to, since with a toddler the entire blog reading and writing went down, but I still very much enjoy your blog! And thank you for initiating me into the blogosphere in the first place (which happened last year on the first delurking day on your blog). It improved my life significantly, seriously (despite some of the reservations that I perhaps struggle with).

    Amber

  23. Emma Bishop says:

Adele, just back from semi delurking whilst vanillarising and detoxing myself from the public spank world (but still getting lifestyle spanked of course lol!).
I’m so glad to have read all of your stuff in one go and its still as fresh as your first post, which warmed me to you. Keep on doing what you do uniquely, have fun and I hope you are well :)

  27. J says:

Late in posting, but a regular reader nonetheless. Thank you. I enjoy your blog a great deal.

For all the time I spend at my desk, how is it that the pretty young women in the picture hasn’t found her way to my office yet?

    hi adele :)

i lurk here occasionally, in the manner of one who is rather unpractised in the art, even to the point of finding it rather odd, but who is committed to lurking and all it has to offer.

oh and who can’t think up any interesting comments to make. that too.

    xx.

  31. Mick says:

Are are so unique Ms Haze, I ceased lurking to tell you so.
