Your Stardust pics are a little piece of history. Paul and I were there when they closed it on the 1st November and believe it was being imploded this week. Another piece of original Vegas glamour gone to be replaced by yet another oppressive plastic mega resort no doubt :-(

Graeme – yes, male stars are very rarely paid, and the reason is that a) few producers can afford it b) there are enough people who want to do it anyway. Of course, if you can afford to pay, you get better choice, but casting the women is a traditional priority.

And on another note it is great to see a man with submissive tendencies speak up and stand up and be counted. With out wishing to put ones foot in it, male spanking movie stars and men involved in the scene are on the whole under represented, in the spanking blogosphere.

I love reading all the blogs written by Mrs haze, Ms Flynns comments etc. But it does seem from the outside that men are a tool of the trade.

Also in relation to getting paid for being in films. I used to subscribe to Kane magazine and once had a letter from them asking if I wanted to model (it was just a circular everyone would have got one). The key point is that mine or anyone else’s prize for subjecting themselves to a vigorous CP session at the hands of the Ladies of Kane, was the “privilege of being allowed to breath the same air as them”. To my mind (and call me old fashioned) that’s a double standard that no woman in her right mind would agree to.

So my comment recently about “yeah I’d have a go” should probably have expanded to say “yeah I’d have a go if the price was fair”, along with safety and respect.

Flicking back to the Kane “model for free scenario”. Its my understanding from other discreet enquires in the past that quite often men are expected to model for free (in the UK), again based on the “your privileged to be in the same room as me, and you would be paying a Pro Domme £150 an hour or more for this service out in the world” but of course they get to sell your suffering on (double bonus).

Now as ever I’m willing to wrong (would like to wrong) but my gut says that male submissive Luminaries are going to be few and far between for a long time to come. And that in this one industry, the sex industry (loose term, except maybe in gay scenarios) men will always be an appendage (no pun intended) with far less opportunity to earn or be recognised unless they are the top and or business owner.

Final bit: Given that there is a female audience for visual, written material and blogs. Would a female audience like to know more about the male stars that they view on material they buy, (my gut says women communicate on a deeper level than men, hence openness on blogs, ergo probably yes), or is the material still far too weighted in favour of the male audience consumption for them to careless one way or the other?

Anyway, apologies Adele for taking up so much space, I just think that recently our world is coalescing and needs to get to know itself a little better, so it can be a lot better for everyone involved.
