Mind you, listening to it would have probably made me cross as well, because vanilla interviewers are usually pretty aggravating. But it would still have been interesting to hear. Niki says she was on air for 15 whole minutes.
If you heard it… please tell us what you thought.

I very much want to hear it too. It was done by telephone and I was in the room, so I only heard Niki’s side of the conversation. She was pretty fluent when he gave her the chance, but she was rather surprised when he tried to spank her over the phone. He didn’t give her any lead-ins that would let her promote her book (Dances with Werewolves), which was supposed (according to REM) to be the main point of the interview. And she didn’t even get to mention tonight’s book-signing at the Janus shop :(.

I heard the interview, it was a laugh, the interviewer was a klutz, but Niki excelled!

Hello Adele
It was great to hear Niki in the “fleeesssh” but the interviewer, so-called, was more of a monologist, in love with his own voice, hardly giving sweet Niki a chance to get in more than a phrase at a time.
Grrr. Well, at least she lost her interview virginity, so it wasn’t a dead loss! Hopefully next time the interviewer will be someone interested in her and what she has to say.
