The Scary World of Full-Time Modelling
Scenology, Shooting Films — By Adele on 13 November, 2006 8:36 pmI’m in awe of the girls for whom spanking modelling is the main source of income. I know a few of these girls (not naming names here, because I didn’t think to ask their permission), and the amount of work they put into being spanked full-time staggers me.
Very few companies shoot every week, and those won’t shoot the same girl every week; this means hunting for jobs and maintaining relationships with a huge number of people. I know I couldn’t do this: I shoot material that gives me kinky kicks, and if there aren’t any nice juicy gigs available – well, it’s annoying, but not in a rent-threatening way. This also means I never have to be nice to anybody I don’t want to be nice to; this is a huge advantage in my bitchy books.
Plus, you have to set spanking appointments and be able to perform whether you feel like it or not. I don’t know about your spanking drive, but mine doesn’t just switch on and stay on for days at an end. Sometimes I don’t feel that kinky at all. If in one particular week I don’t feel up to being spanked – that’s fine; there’s always next week. If you get spanked for a living all the time, there are only so many weeks you can miss before your rent becomes an issue.
And then there are bruises. When you arrive to a shoot, the director wants your bottom to be pristine – which means you can’t allow yourself to be marked between shoots, or to schedule the shoots too closely together.
It also often means that you can’t play hard and push your limits: I know a couple of girls who would love to take a really severe thrashing on camera to see what it’s like, and to get all the accolades that come with taking severe pain – but they can’t take two weeks off to heal afterwards. Fighting off the temptation to go further than my bottom should go would be a constant battle for me. Hell, it is already – without the additional pressure to keep the canvas unmarked.
Let’s raise our glasses to the full-time models, the brave, hard-working women they are.

A wonderful blog Adele – it has been added to my bookmarked sites.
Nice picture of your lovely bottom in white shorts a (couple of posts down) by the way.
Take care

Seems if you were full-time spanking model, your services would actually become less desired too. A ‘we are looking for a new face’ kind of thing. So, that would mean even more work and stress.

I cannot imagine being a full-time spanking model; like anything else, when you get to do it on your own terms, it can be wonderful fun, but when it becomes a job, then it’s just work, and lots of it.
Making videos is a blast, but it’s also wear and tear on a spankee’s body, not just in the obvious places, either. Anyone else here experience aches and pains for the next couple of days from craning your neck, arching your back in an exaggerated way, throwing your head around, squirming and struggling, etc., for extended periods of time? Last time I shot, I remember I ended up with this mysterious and godawful bruise on the back of my left ARM, of all places. It took a while to figure it out, but I remembered I’d been thrashing around so much, I’d repeatedly slammed my arm up against the chair.
And Adele made an excellent point — sometimes, you’re just not in the mood for this spanky stuff. When you do it just for fun, you can pick and choose your times, your projects and your co-stars.
For those who can do this all the time, keep it fresh and exciting, and avoid becoming jaded, you get my salute as well!

That’s true of all modelling and acting, Erica, not just spanking! If you have an itch for the camera, this is just something you learn to live with – and modelling is less physically demanding than many other jobs I could name!
I’ll gladly raise my glass in praise of anyone who can be a spanking model or spanker full time on camera and make a living at it. I could never do that, have never done that, have no desire to do that, so cheers to them and the rest of you, including those of you who do it part-time!

actually, adele, this brings an interesting question to mind. how much does spanking modeling actually pay?? i’m not asking you for your exact figures, of course, and i’m sure it ranges… but i was under the (perhaps naive) impression that the money was actually very good, and that shooting one or two videos per month would be enough to tide a girl over, assuming she was living modestly.
Wow. I would have to say to survive on 1-2 films a month you would have to be living very modestly! Even working for the hardest or top paying companies.
I have never understood this “secrecy” behind what people get paid in this industry. No one can give an exact figure because of course rates vary – quite massively at the moment – depending on who you work for and often on the severity too. At NSI we pay girls £250-£300 per shoot (plus travel and food etc) and are increasing that quite considerably from January 2007. This is about average though some companies do pay more (but often expect more!) I’m not giving away any trade secrets here as most companies advertise the rates they pay on their site anyway.
Most girls working full-time make the bulk of their income through private appointments. There was a time when the rates where the same in the UK regardless of which girl you booked. These rates were agreed amongst the girls themselves and it was fair for everyone. Basically, guys paid their money and took their choice. However, this has changed in recent years with the number of pro spanking girls increasing by easily more than 5 times the number there were just 5 years ago in the UK, and it’s difficult to reach an agreement when the girls rarely know each other these days (though the core girls in the scene do stick to roughly the same rates so as not to undercut each other and try to keep it as fair as possible)
With the influx of new girls in general these rates can now vary hugely too depending on where you work, even varies regionally within the UK, but anything between £100 – £200 per hour session (though there are a handful of girls who charge less I believe). Though a session is never an hour. Normally by the time you’ve spent chatting to the client, sharing a cuppa and discussing what he wants from the sessions and your limits, do the session then a cool down chat and cuppa you’re looking at nearer 3 hours often for a “one hour” session. Again no trade secrets, most girls rates are available for people to see on their adverts and personal websites.
Parties in the UK generally pay £150 – £200 per party though this takes the whole day or evening generally with anywhere between 6 and 30 guys spanking, strapping and caning you, so less experienced girls do need to allow a few days off after a party to recover but it’s a good way to network and where most girls meet 121 clients.
Still a party or a shoot plus a couple of 121s each week is usually enough to tide anyone over! It’s great fun, you generally get to choose your own hours so one can’t complain!
That being said, it can’t ever be relied upon, so yes the girls who do it are brave in that aspect. The reality which not many people think about is that everyone, no matter how good, how young or how pretty, has a “shelf life” in this business so it’s by no means a life-long career for most.
The girls who do it though enjoy it. Adele makes a good point that one is not always in a spanking mood. That is very true. The strange reality of this however – and I say this from my own experience only, can’t comment for others – is that even when I have an appointment arranged and I am not in the mood, by the time I have had a cuppa with the client and I go off and get changed, when the session starts I am always in the mood! Isn’t that odd?!
In general though my theory to doing spanking full-time has always been “Give it up before it gives you up” but also that if you stop enjoying it, stop doing it. End of. :-) The girls who do this purely for the money and have no personal kink for spanking just completely bewilder and baffle me.
Interesting, informative, honest, refreshing. Good piece Lucy.
Thank you Remus. Ought to have pointed out that those shoot rates are PER DAY btw, often we (and other companies) will hire girls for 2-3 days at a time…
Lucy said: “These rates were agreed amongst the girls themselves and it was fair for everyone”.
Oh look – a cartel! I’d love to see the European Commissioner for competition sort that one out.
Alternatively, send all the girls round to me and I shall sort out the matter privately ;)
Really thought-provoking blog, Adele – thanks to you. Let’s not forget to raise a glass to the part timers too, you are all special people.
This whole discussion has conjured up two images in my mind. One, which I like, is of the models getting spanked and knowing they’re being paid for what they love doing anyway – and making their own choice whether they want this to be a sideline or a full time commitment.
The other image is of awful, middle-aged men who are also doing what they like and are making bucket loads of money by exploiting the ones they pay by the hour! I’m sure it’s not really like that (and if it is……. please don’t tell me.)
Pandora also makes a great comment, that’s show biz! It probably always has been like that, and maybe always will be.
First of all, Lucy, thanks for explaining the payment structure; I couldn’t give as full an explanation, because the whole world of 1-2-1s is something I know only from gossip. (Yay to gossip.)
Erica – Yes and yes to the unexpected injuries you get on set. The sorest part of me is usually my neck (from craning for face shots) and shoulders (from the creative waving of arms). *g*
Spike – Would it be better if the middle-aged men were good-looking and fit? LOL Only joking. One hears about exploitative bastards from time to time, but there’s enough information around, and enough reputable producers around, that there is absolutely no need to work for them.
