One of the questions I considered for the Delurk Day last Friday – and then decided to save for later – was this: if your carreer and family circumstances were not an issue, would you like to be a spanking model? In a movie or in photos. Maybe try it once and see if you like it. Does it appeal?

Probably not, because I personally prefer to receive spanking in the context of a monogamous relationship with a man. Although I can see how one can come to
enjoy it professionally, so to speak. I am also not sure if I’d be comfortable with the
fact that anyone can see the photo of myself exposed in such manner.
I am not suggesting that
there is something wrong with it, but it certainly isn’t for everyone. But then again,
maybe with time I could get over that too.
I also wanted to ask you how does your mom feel about your work – I know that mine would be very upset (she’ve highly conservative), but then again, not every mom is the same!
Haha. I had certainly considered it– BUT, I suppose for the reasons you mention, spanking modeling never appealed as much as the idea of other sex work. I modeled for the college sex rag (guess which!), and I’ve obviously taken pictures with my partner, but I just can’t see my self as a profesional spanking model. My aversion to the pro-scene, I think, is a result of my aversion to middle aged men…and while I realize that all pro-tops are not middle-aged men, I wonder how much agency I would have as far as chosing who I’d shoot with if I were to make a decent amount of money.

Were career and family not an issue, I would ADORE being a spanking model! I would love to play in scenes like that, have that record, and share it with others like I’m able to share my writing. I think people understand me better when they see what I like doing… and being a spanking model sounds fabulous. I just don’t know if I could take everything that was handed out!
This is a long cherished wish of mine, and I still dream of it in idle moments from time to time. Actually it was pure fantasy for most of my life as I didn’t know such a thing existed (and if I had known, I lacked the self esteem to try it).
Now I feel much more relaxed about who I am, and I think it would be fun.
It still isn’t going to happen though, because my wife doesn’t want anybody to cane me except her (and she isn’t interested in being filmed herself).
Wow, great question. Fun to even think about it! We’d both say… YES, we’d love to try it. Not sure how many people would want to watch us spank/be spanked… lol… but it would be a blast to try. We love our video camera, and we’re not shy. We, in fact, enjoy spanking play with other adults.
Having a child is the major drawback to being too adventurous when it comes to sharing pics though. And being 40 years old is probably a major drawback to anyone wanting us to share, lol. But, in a perfect world… you bet!

For me the exhibitionistic thrill goes a few steps beyond Erica’s. I rememebr thinking about a possible risk of getting caught when I did my first video just over 2 years ago. Hell, I was still in the Army Reserves at that time as well. But after someone explained to me that it’s considerably easier to remain anonymous in spanking films than compared to mainstream porn, I went fo it. Nowadays, if I’m reconized..I’d be proud of it.

Amber – I guess it really isn’t for everyone, and it’s really interesting to hear why different people think it isn’t for them. Hence, the question. (And my mum doesn’t know I do spanking videos. Nor can she use a computer, or speak English, so I’m pretty safe from her finding out before I’m ready to tell her.)
Kris – I hear you on the issue of men LOL I suppose, unless you’re attracted to older men or (like in my case) you don’t really care about the age of the person who’s spanking you), the professional scene is somewhat limiting. Although you can always go shoot for, say, Clare Fonda, and be spanked by hot women instead :)

Flinch – damn those sensitive carreer and family issues… I think you’d make a great model, from what I’ve seen of you on the forums. (And you don’t have to take more than you are comfortable with, unless you’re doing it to pay the rent – so pain is not really a worry in my experience.)
Todd & Suzy – yeah, it can be awkward with children… particularly when they go to school. “Hey, Johnny, I saw a picture of your mom on the upper shelf magazine cover… with a bare ass!” Not to say there are no models with kids, but the position certainly needs weighing up. As for the age thing – well, maybe you wouldn’t be able to do convincing school scenes, but there are plenty of grown-up spanking models around. (LOL Not giving away any names, in case they’ve had an age reversal recently ;) )

I would be a spanker (possibly spankee, though my limit is quite low nowadays). I’m not particularly verbal (probably a downside for a CP/SM actor). I’m sort of at the stage where I don’t care less about my peers knowing. I got outed in 1998 by my ex wife when she included it in her allegations of sexually abusing my son to defame my character to social services. So I did the sensible thing and let all my freinds know I was into SM CP and the like. I found it easier to go clubbing after that, and a shed load easier to get my kit off for public fun and games once I knew that if I ever appeared in the News of the World that all my nearest and dearest would be able to rib me without them all having heart attacks first.
My issue would that of my son finding out. I didn’t do anything wrong by the way I just upset the wrong woman when I said enough is enough.
I wonder sometimes for all you lovely young ladies whether your current working lifestyle could affect your future familly partnerships or working lives, as when and if you ever move on to new pastures, because despite the current sense of openess within our own community, outside of our world a lot of people still think we are weirdos and perverts.

Well, I’ve considered it, but I grew up in a close family, and have some cousins that are very handy with computers. I’m already scared to death that one of them, the one who always fixes my computer, will stumble across some of the urls of spanking sites I visit. In real life, I’d never become a spanking model (even though I’d like to be one). But if I wouldn’t care about family members or friends finding out, I’d sure as hell want to be one! I’m guess I’m just kind of jealous… :)

I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t last as a model, even if I tried it. There’s something intensely personal about spanking that doesn’t feel right to share with the world (although, oddly enough, I’m not sure I’d feel the same way about escort work).
As a strictly ignorant, control-freakish note, I think I might also be nervous about whether I got to interview the top to my satisfaction, after already having signed a contract with someone else (the producer). Do you find that’s a problem?
Any other objections? I guess there’s a variant off of what you pointed out: people can find you anywhere, at any time, *forever*, as a model. Too many possible judgments by potential clients if I went freelance with anything. Too many possible career-closing options for an act that you might have done just once, and left behind. No way to hide, and I guess I like being able to hide a few things.

Absolutely. If career were not an issue then I would most definitely want to make a few spanking videos–at least one with all the great leading men out there. I’ve made a short lil private home video, but it’s just not the same at all.
That would not detract from my private interests in spanking at all.

Kim – I hear you, and your objections are exactly the reason why any girl should stop and think very hard before venturing into the modelling life. As for interviewing the tops – I’ve never felt the need to do that. In a way, it’s not a video top that’s actually topping you – it’s the director of the video. If that makes sense at all. The top’s doing what he/she is told. Obviously, there’s a degree of improvisation involved, and there can be some concern over accuracy, and good old personality clashes, but it’s not too hard to iron out during a shoot. Or maybe I’ve simply been lucky.
Ruby – Now, that’s interesting – do you care to provide a list of the men you would like to act with? You’ve made me think about mine, and it’s a long list indeed. :)
