The news first. The Real Spankings empire has expanded to include a new solo site: Spanking Bailey. That’s right, cute little Bailey, who has charmed hordes of fans through her work for other Real Spankings sites, now has a site all of her own. I can hear loud cheers from all over the planet, as the self-proclaimed “mindless Bailey worshippers” are scrambling to subscribe to the newly open goldmine of spanking goodness.
The site is great news for those of us who like to see the spanking of genuinely kinky girls – and man, is Bailey one kinky girl. I’m sure it’ll be full of hot videos and pictures, because as Bailey is hot, and photographs like a dream, particularly when she’s in tears. I for one intend to get a subscription.
Now comes the rant.
Because, all that said, the launch of Spanking Bailey is a lesson in how *not* to do it. While Bailey works her bottom off, taking punishment after punishment, it looks like AEG (the company behind all of the RealSpankings sites) don’t really care whether the new venture succeeds or not, and are stumbling about, hoping that somehow people will find out it’s there, and maybe subscribe.
1. Have you seen it advertised? It’s been open for subscriptions for over a week, and the only announcements I’ve seen come from Bailey herself, who is way too modest to raise an adequate fuss about herself. (Not to mention that her job is to suffer prettily, not to serve as a head of PR.)
2. Where are the links? Why isn’t Spanking Bailey linked to from all the other Real Spankings sites? There are quite a few of them, with ample space for links. Don’t you think that people who subscribe to, say, Spanking Teen Jessica would be interested in new content with a new girl?
3. Where is the affilliate programme for the site? Traffic is money. Big spanking sites attract subscribers by making other webmasters do the advertising for them, in exchange for a percentage of the subscription fee. Nobody will send them traffic for free. (Well, I will, but that’s because I care about Bailey, not because I’m bothered about AEG’s financial success.)
4. And finally – this is something that makes my teeth hurt the most – what’s this bullshit with putting Bailey’s blog inside the membership area? It’s as though somebody told these people: “Hey! Blogs are great for marketing, your site should have one!” And they thought – oh, great, let’s make Bailey write a blog. Excellent idea – except blogs are only good for marketing if people are free to read them, quote from them, link to them and spread the word. Hiding a blog in a membership area is like spending a fortune on a marketing brochure, and then trying to sell it as an add-on to the product it advertises. Bailey might as well write a paper diary, for all the use the blog will be to her.
So, yes, AEG have been appallingly stupid in the way they’ve handled the launch so far.
Bailey, though – well, she is fun, and intense, and sparkles with talent, and has the nicest bottom in the universe, so I hope her site brings her a lot of pleasure and success.

Good on you for spreading the news Adele and – of course – good luck to Bailey who is, as you say, very cute.
My general impression of RS is that it lost its way about two years ago.
When in started new ideas were coming almost weekly – the wonderful punishment profiles, the photo stories, the “faces” videos and – ultimately – the creation of the RS Institute, with its well-considered locations, uniforms and context.
And it really has given birth to a generation of stars.
But IMO the last couple of years have seen very little innovation – indeed it has seen BiSpankings close down – and the format and stories seem now to repeat ad nauseum, albeit with different – and occasional good – models.
I also wonder occasionally about the merits of single-model sites. However much one enjoys the work of a particular girl it is variety that has always done it for me…
I love Bailey and I have watched the three free video clips on her new site. I love the one where she is belted over lovely white knickers. Too many spanking clips take the knickers off too early. She does have a beautiful bottom and seems to be willing to be nicely bruised. But, looking at the clips, is she not a bit of a cry baby? She cries out even at an initial hand spanking, this from a girl who has taken the cane. A smack with the hand does not hurt that much, yet she is very vocal. Surely she is a bit of a cry baby? I still love her, though.
Oh I am certainly a cry baby! More accurately, I am a wimp. Hand spankings hurt me just as much in the *moment* as a cane does. I can’t figure out which hurts worse until after the fact, ahdn I am able to analyze it. Before that, I’m just experiencing the pain and I know that pain hurts! I’m glad you enjoy my work, belter.
Oh, Bailey, that confession just makes me love you more! (And I always give cry babies extra smacks as punishment.)
I have seen some of Bailey’s work on Realspankings and I appreciate Bailey’s “cry-baby” aspect quite a bit. Sometimes the models suffer though the punishment without much vocalization at all. Although I know it must hurt, one wonders somewhere in the subconscious; is it real? So: although it lacks logic, seeing a girls cry during a spanking somehow “proves” it’s real to the deeper parts of my psyche. At any rate: great work Bailey, looking forward to subscribing.

And you’re surprised by this? I love their work, but these are the people who spent a week chatting me up about Spanking Blog, offered me a pittance if I would sell it, and then promptly (like, within a week) started a blog called “The Spanking Blog.” Which was annoying, but worse, it was stupid, when they have such a well established and respected brand of their own they could have leveraged for their blog effort.
Dan, actually, I don’t think it’s the same people any more. The company has changed hands (i.e., has been sold to vanillas), and I’m pretty sure it was after the start of The Spanking Blog. No idea whether the blog was sold along with everything else, though I’m kind of idly curious about what they think they’re doing.
Ah, I wasn’t aware the company had changed hands. Needless to say, the imitation cooled my relationship with those folks, so — despite a continuing affiliate relationship — I haven’t exactly kept in close contact.
Why would vanillas buy a spanking porn company? How would they imagine they could operate it sensibly?
Sometimes this business boggles my mind.

I have seen absolutely nothing about this new site…and, being a fellow blogger, you can imagine how I like to keep up with things. In fact, I was just checking out one of the Real-Spankings sites yesterday and didn’t notice a thing.

Okay, one final note (sorry, Adele)… this is more directed to SpankBoss: I had no idea that was how “The Spanking Blog” came about. I used to go to Spanking Blog (your site, obviously) and then I came across *the* other site and thought, “hey, maybe they just changed the name,” but the updates weren’t the same type/quality, so I knew that couldn’t be it. I still always figured it was two blogs managed by the same parent company or something. Anyway, now I know. :)
Yeah, I’d like to link it too and I looked for the affiliate program right away but there wasn’t any!
My guess is that they just haven’t got around to it, but I sure begrudge the clicks I can see clicking away from my site. Lovely clicks, preciousssss. LOL

“appallingly stupid”, man is that harsh. Yes the launch was a little slow but we have many things going on at once. Also the blog might be better on the outside but we wanted to try something new. The customers can see snipets of each blog post everytime she writes a new one. If I didn’t think the launch was handled in a stupid way, I’d have had to conclude that it was sabotaged on purpose. I don’t believe that’s true, though.
Is there a deep strategic reason there is no link to the affiliate programme from the site itself?
