Sugar Rush and the Award-Winning Spanking

The UK drama “Sugar Rush” has won an International Emmy Award. In case you don’t know, it’s a cheeky series about a teen lesbian discovering what turns her on.

Are you wondering why this is relevant on a spanking blog?

Here’s why:

The most amusing thing is the category it won the Emmy in. *drum roll*

“Children and Young People”.

Go, “Sugar Rush”!

P.S. Now that I know how to jam videos into the Wordpress template, watch out. World domination is not far off.

    Adele,
That was awesome!!! If you keep putting up clips like that, I’m all for you taking over the world!

Now =that’s= funny… (and um hot)

Oh how I wish I was an underage English lesbian girl…

This is really cute, even though I am not normally attracted to girl on girl action (to use the language of Cosmopolitan).

Ditto what Amber said. I’m not into F/F, but this is cute and funny to watch. Pretty girl, too. “Children and Young People”???? Good grief… Is this the 21st Century version of the “Afterschool Special”? :-)

The whole series is actually one of the best written dramas/comedy-dramas I have seen on TV in years. Series 2 was just as good, if not better than, series 1. I’d recommend to all. Hurrah to Channel 4 for continuing to champion new talent and keeping looking for quality combined with something different.

    Adele,

Cute clip. I’ve seen it somewhere before. Anyway it’s a good index of how spanking is breaking through at least some mainstream British media. Anyway kudos to you for the steady stream of enlightened, fresh and smart content on your blog. The Playstation Girls is a good case in point. I haven’t seen that anywhere and I’d never have known about it except for your excellent newsgathering work. Not that I’m about to order the game and not that I even play video games. But I’m interested from a “culture study” point of view. This is not the first mean schoolgirls video game, but the other one I read about had no such overt sexual overtones. Judging from your blog, I’d say you’re smart and sensitive. Stay that way.

OMG, I was in that series! Not that bit, though. Why am I never in the interesting bits? Hmph.

  9. Adele on November 22nd, 2006 3:18 pm

OK, Miss Teasing Pandora, now you’ve got to tell us more. Which bit were you in?

I was an extra in the gay club scenes in series 2. I haven’t seen the show yet, so I have no idea if I’m on camera! It was fun, though. There was some hawt g/g dancefloor action going down ;)

Now how come they can’t show THAT over here on BBC America???

    Great clip, thanks for sharing.

Come on, Chris, the country’s run by puritans. It is striking to me, though, that you can still watch, say, Howard Stern on cable TV. (Then again, I am a very recent Midwestern immigrant w/o a TV set in the house, so maybe my perception is not accurate). In general, I found that Americans are a lot less comfortable with sexual content and even sharing physical space than people back in Europe, at least that part of it that I am familiar with. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. (That’s kind of a truism, though.)

Fantastic! :) Thanks so much for sharing this with those of us whose access to channel 4 is, um *limited*.

    Wonderful sense of humor.

Amber, very true, though BBC America does show Graham Norton, the homosexual Irish talk show host who’s a lot raunchier that this little clip.

And there is, of course, Howard Stern, though his TV show is severely edited. Not sure if its on anymore or not since he moved to satellite radio.

LOL… THAT was funny (and very sexy!).

    thanks,

For me the most memorable sex-related program on American TV, though, is something called “Sex with Sue”, where a rather old Canadian grandma dispenses sexual advice with that dry humor as though she was giving gardening tips. It’s very funny that way.

Absolute quality! And the Gorillaz soundtrack was well chosen. Funny AND sexy is a difficult one, but judging by the clip this series manages it in spades. Yes, absolute quality. A female friend raved about this series, but I never watched it myself. Can’t believed I missed it. Thanks, Adele.

Fabulous clip. And well done, Pandora, for getting an extra role!
