The Most Painful Implement
A reader wants to know the most painful implement I’d ever been spanked with during a shoot.
You would have thought that the answer would feature an implement commonly thought to be particularly fearsome, like a heavy tawse, or maybe a thick cane. In fact, the odd thing about being spanked over the course of a day for several different clips means that the most unexpected implement can tip over from being quite nondescript to hardly bearable.
In my case, the one implement that stands out is a very small leather paddle used in my video “The Young Offender” (I have posted stills from it here and here.) It really is a tiny paddle. It doesn’t even look like it’s making that much impact. But by the time we got around to shooting this video, I had spent several hours being spanked, strapped and tawsed, so the paddle was smacking a bottom that was already really sore. Getting a slow, deliberate caning seemed like a holiday after this.
All that said, I’ve never felt nearly as much pain during a spanking shoot as I do playing privately, so there’s nothing really to complain about. I suppose, it hurt. And, I suppose, it hurt more than other things had under the same circumstances. But all in all, enduring a lot of pain doesn’t guarantee that a video will be great, even though it would be nice if all it took to make a great video was to have a high pain threshold.

Shocking. You were right, I was expecting a cane.
Thing is, I love canes. Doing a caning video (which is normally the last thing one does in a day, so that the marks don’t, ahem, spoil the canvas) is a reward for a day’s hard work.
I’m sure I’d change my tune very quickly if I ever shot for Lupus or similar :)
I’m with you on this one. “Most unbearable” certainly doesn’t equal “most painful”, so much depends on headspace… and some kinds of pain are far more tolerable than others. Pain is really difficult to measure anyway. I’m not sure that having to walk in heels on blistered feet on a hot day hurts more than being caned, but it’s certainyl far, far less easy to handle.
LOL Good point! I’m more willing to have my feet caned than to walk on heels. :) That’s sure going to bugger up my plans of learning to domme: who’s even seen a domme in trainers?

Do you find that your adrenaline is running so high during a shoot, you don’t feel much of anything anyway? I don’t remember pain during shoots, honestly. I know I must feel it, but it gets absorbed amongst the endorphins and the intense concentration and so forth.

Yes, same story – during shoot’s I’m so tightly wound that pain doesn’t really register. I can pretty much go for as long as my skin lasts, and depend on other people to tell me when I’ve had enough.
Though, I admit, I haven’t been switched, so that may change :)
(For the sake of comparison: playing with friends I can burst into tears after four strokes of the paddle, and announce myself done for the evening.)

I certainly share that same view as well when I am subbing in a movie. It’s an entirely different mind set than attending a play party or a public dungeon with friends. I’ve stopped and looked at my past work and wondered how in the hell I got through it. I’ve found that I don’t concentrate on the pain so much when I’m filming. Especially when dialog is involved and stage directions are being issued to me. Erica is correct, once your adrenaline starts running high, and you have many aspects with in the shoot to consider, you know longer worry about the pain so much. Time goes considerably faster.
There have been times that I’ve been involved in private play and when it’s my turn to be paddled or whipped..I can’t always take as much. It depends on my head space and mood and the woman who’s topping me. I’m able to relax and enjoy the scene and concentrate on what is going on in a one on one scene. Some times it’s difficult to maintain a heavy threshold.
When I’m topping on camera, I’m mainly concerned about my spankee’s safety and our dialog. I’m not really thinking as a top as I would in private. I’m concerned with getting the scene right as it’s ment to be. When topping in private, there is considerably more closeness and intimacy. Filming is real and private play is real. But the two are vastly different from one another as I’ve experienced.

I have found the vermomt bath brush to be most painful. My hoh has me over a spanking horse with my ankles spread wide, and it stretches my bottom. the pain from the impact shoots like lightning through my body. its 50 licks, and by the 30th lick Im ragdoll mummering unintelligable words, amist the uncontrollable reflexive hiccuping and groaning because im to spent to sob.
