Like 2 or 3 {depending on weight} yardsticks glued together one atop the other. Followed with, perhaps: a 12 to 15mm dowel rod, a hard-wood kitchen spoon and then a heavy/wide leather belt {possibly wet} to finish up with? Just a suggestion from my own experimentation. Although in my experience position has a great deal to do with marking, maybe even more than implement used. Anybody else have suggestions for creating prominent marks?
