This is after all the director who gave us Rutger Hauer spanking Monique van de Ven in "Turks fruit". I agree that the whipping scene in "Starship Troopers" is great (pretty much the only good thing you can say about the movie, really). Too bad that it's not a woman dishing out the punishment. I'm not so homophobic that I find MM action "repulsive", but as a hetero male, I still can't get into it like I could into watching an FM scene. I wonder what it's like for you, Adele. You obviously like seeing men as the victims of corporal punishment, which is nice - I'm starting to like you more and more. But does it make any difference for you who holds the lash, or cane, or whatever? Would you rather watch a man, a woman, or doesn't it really matter as long as the scene itself is good? Did you ever read the 'Dancers at the End of Time' series by Michael Moorcock? I can still remember my surprise when I read the scene in the last book where Miss Mavis Ming gets thrashed with a riding crop.
