Do you see the appeal in making her go topless, but leaving the trousers? Would you mind explaining it, perhaps?

Well there are a couple of reasons that pop to mind as to why having her topless is a good idea… lol. But yes, pull those bottoms down silly man!

It’s obviously an attempt to make kink acceptable to the British tabloid editors.
Could it be that she was being spanked for being caught in an inappropriate attire (i.e. she was already topless when she shouldn’t be, and that was the reason for the paddling)? Otherwise, I agree it isn’t what I’d naturally expect to see!
Topless on a female is always sexy. And the pants won’t be on long. The pleasure for the spanker is in sliding them down and exposing her. It’s a definite high..

Okay, lemme take a shot. She works for a guy who wants her topless as he’s one of the few spankos, like my boyfriend, for whom breasts take precedence over the ass. And she’s been naughty somehow (made the coffee too weak?) so he’s spanking her. But, he hasn’t gotten to the point yet where he takes down her skirt (or are those tights?).
That’s my best guess. ;-)
One possible appeal is the humiliation of a revealing position in addition to spanking. It’s not often done in our corner of the entertainment industry, but if you look at it from a real-life perspective it would be a really humiliating thing to do as part of a punishment. It is especially appropriate for the situation in the story…
In the video Christina (Kailee) is punished for shoplifting. She had stolen a black bra, which the headmaster makes her remove just before punishing her, and she apologizes to the shopkeeper over the phone as she is being paddled. At the very end she strips to nothing but knee-socks, and is made to stand facing the wall, reddened skin on display for the next 2 hours.
An educated guess as to why she wasn’t punished bare-bottom, based on the condition of her skin at the end of her paddling, is that she already had marks from a recent whipping.
(One thing I like about ‘trousers up’ it is that it brings back so many memories from my school days in the mid-to-late 70s, the muffled smack of wood across the seat of her pants …)
No, I don’t really see the appeal myself, either. Maybe for “breast fetishists”. Then again, most spankos are going to be “bottom fetishists” like me! It’s great to have a victim stripping totally nude, of course. But leaving the trousers on? Doesn’t make sense to me.
My hunch is that, more than anything else, it was something that the producer did for novelty value. “Hey, we haven’t done this before, it’s new, let’s give it a try!”

The exposed breasts I can understand as humiliation and seemingly fit given the scenario. But the pants on? Even if she had marks from a prior shoot, they should have been yanked down. Ok, I know this is an old post but perhaps I can shed some light on this age old issue. In the spanking vids I’ve seen it’s usually done under the guise of adding shame. However that’s not why I like it. I like the topless spanking because the spankee’s tits bounce in time with the spanking. There are two reasons why I find this really hot. The first is because it’s very similar to the breasts’ movements during sex albeit slower (generally). The second reason is that when breasts move in concert with the strap or paddle (or what have you) it confers that it’s a real and hard spanking. It’s moving her body, now just reddening her backside. Even small movements of the torso can translate in to large movements of the breasts. Go to any (straight) club and it’ll be obvious that men like to see a bobbing bosom. Sure, nekkid would be better, but just topless is nice too sometimes. Did that help?
