Torchwood Needs Some Spanking On It

Hands up who thinks that Captain Jack needs to spank his team. On a regular basis.
I’ve long been of this opinion, from the very first episode: when naughty members of the team under Jack’s stern gaze were returning the deviced they’d filched from work, there should have been some punishments handed out.
Also, in almost every episode one of them defies him, needs to be rescued, and then runs around screaming “I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” (Standard response: well, you should be, and I’ll make sure you’re properly sorry!)
And then there was this moment in last week’s episode (NB It’s a very short clip, but still…):

Well, I’m still trying to get the clip thing to load, but after 5 hours I’ll admit I’m getting tired of waiting. Adele, m’dear, I love ya, but I won’t hold my breath re: world domination with you at the helm. ;-)
Couldn’t get it to load either, Youtube said it was private.
Torchwood is great despite Captain Jack not because of. The real reason I posted is that captain jack is the most annoying character ever written (hyperbole but hey)
Saw him on nevermind the buzzcocks were he appeared to be coked off his tits too, the most needy actor I’ve seen in quite some time
On the other hand if someone was to take Billie Piper over their knee I’d be in hog heaven

We should start a list of TV shows where we think spanking should occur. We’ve already had a sci-fi discussion (over at Pandora’s blog), maybe we should have a list for other shows as well.
For example, raise your hand if you think that Major Nelson should have spanked Jeannie from time to time. /me raises hand (she so deserves it)
No, no, “I Dream of Jeannie” was more BDSM than spanking. She did call him “Master,” after all. I always lamented that the exquisitely bratty and oh-so-deserving Audrey Horne (Sherilyn Fenn) on “Twin Peaks” never got taken down a peg.

Rober – Man, don’t start me on the geeky stuff, I’ll lose all my sexy points if you go on like that. :-P Though I”m doing quite a good job of it anyway.
Niki – Yes! Audrey totally needed it! I remember the novelisations better than the show itself, but didn’t she sneak into a brothel undercover, or something, and found either her dad or an uncle or somebody like that? That’s just begging for it :)
She did. And it was her dad. But that wasn’t the most spank-worthy scene. You know the scene I mean, where she crashes her father’s big convention of potential investers with her monologue about the murdered body of her poor dead friend Laura wrapped in plastic on the beach. The scene that followed had her frustrated dad shaking his finger in her face and threatening, “If you EVER pull another stunt like that again…” followed by the wholly unsatisfying “you’ll be scrubbing bidets in a Bulgarian convent.” (Huh?) To which she replied, “Oh, Daddy, I’m sooo afraid!”
Hmm, don’t really remember that scene, Niki, though she does sound deserving.
